К вопросу о праздничных марках

Тут rijka недавно сетовала по поводу конкурса марок на Новый год. Могла я себе спокойно пользоваться стандартами, да и в почтовый салон все равно лень ехать, а тут увидела рождественские марки Британской почты. Мне, блин, теперь за державу обидно. :(

Помните, я как-то рассказывала о художниках индийского происхождения, которые делают невероятные световые туннели? Так вот недавно они не только с этими самыми туннелями выпустили иллюстрированную детскую книжку под названием The Seekers, но и были выбраны авторами специальной рождественской серии марок Королевской почты Британии. До чего же красивые марки!

***Big News*** We have been waiting to share this for a while. We were chosen to design the special edition 2019 Christmas stamps for Royal Mail UK. This year's theme being scenes from the Nativity Story. This is extremely special for us as both of us have grown up with fathers who used to collect stamps. We have often wondered how our work would translate to a stamp. The scale was obviously a challenge and there was a lot of learning. But we had a great team working with us at @charliesmithdesign and @royalmailofficial who understood the medium and were extremely supportive and patient with the process.
